Understanding Student Loan Terms

Whether you’re still dreaming about your international education, or you’ve just received your first loan payment for your semester abroad, find out everything you need to know in our handy guide on student loan terms. International student loans can be helpful, but it’s also important to know the ins and outs of what to expect.

How to Use our International Student Loan Tool

If you need to find out if you’re eligible to apply for an international student loan, by far the easiest way to do so is to use the loan comparison tool on InternationalStudentLoan.com - but how does it work?

  1. Answer a few simple questions about your nationality and where you are studying
  2. Click “Find My Loan” - the tool will search for a lender based on your answers
  3. Review your list of student loan lenders, select the student loan that meets your needs and start the online application

Are you following IEFA on social media?

Do you have a story to share about your international education? Why not share it by tagging @iefaorg. We would love to hear from you whether you’re already “living the dream” and studying outside your home country, or whether you’re making plans for your adventure. Plus, we might be able to suggest a few financial aid options based on your situation!

Computer Science Scholarship

This is a scholarship opportunity for any student studying or approved for enrollment on a computer science-related or STEM course at a university or college in the United States.

The chosen beneficiary will receive an educational technology grant of $1,000. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2020 and you can find more details below:
