Our mission is to promote international education worldwide through the development and publication of the most comprehensive database of International Education Financial Aid information available on the Internet.
The most often used answer to international students seeking information on financial aid has always been "there are very few resources available". In comparison to financial aid available in a student's home country, this may be true. However, there are an incredible number of resources of which many students and advisors are unaware. IEFA.org was developed to make this information available. Now when students ask; "how am I going to pay for study in a foreign country?" - the new answer is "visit IEFA.org" .
IEFA.org was created in January 1998. Since that time the site has developed a database of over 1,000 programs of financial aid for international education. Some resources are specific to the student's home country or field of study while others are more general. Further, the site is continuously growing as new submissions are added and old ones are expanded. Keep looking if you don't find something right away.
The people behind the site all have a strong desire to develop, maintain and improve the IEFA site. Joe Cronin, the origional founder of IEFA, has been involved in international education finance for many years.
International education is exploding in popularity, and the need for IEFA is greater than ever. Your submissions, feedback, and comments are encouraged to insure our success.
